The Residential Couselor's basic tasks is to be an instructive guide offering individual residents personal support and encouragement. This position supervises guides and assists residents in day-to-day living activities, and in the general adjustment to group living. Description: This position provides coordination and oversight of the Residential Counselors, Lead Residential Counselors, Kitchen and Custodial Staff providing services to the youth. This position is responsible for proper training and guidance to the positions above; ensures that all reports, action requests and other correspondence is completed in a timely and accurate manner and maintains liaison with Department of Juvenile Justice, the judiciary, law enforcement, school system and other community agencies. Bachelor's degree in a human services field with three years experience working with adolescents in a residential setting and at least one year of experience in a supervisory role.
